Training Contracts

 

We have been approved by the Law Society to offer fourteen training contracts at any one time.

 

 

 

We look for candidates with good academic record who are also enthusiastic and committed to the law and human rights.

 

As a trainee you would be expected to spend a minimum of six months in each of our Criminal, Mental Health and/or Family Departments to gain an overview of the work we do and establish those areas best suited to your interests and individual talents.

 

Our trainees are encouraged from an early stage to take responsibility to help them develop their confidence and competence.

 

Kaim Todner aim to provide full support throughout your training contract and fund not only the Professional Skills Course but also offer opportunities to gain Police Station Accreditation and to become a panel member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal.

 

Salary

 

Initial salary - £18,420

Pupillage

 

Kaim Todner LLP is also an approved Pupillage Training Organisation offering two twelve month criminal law pupillages.

 

We operate a progressive in-house advocacy team and as a  pupil you would spend three months with each of our two pupil supervisors during the non-practicing period of your pupillage. For the remainder of your time you will experience a wide variety of court work, as well as a close involvement with the essential paperwork involved, and be expected to undertake court work under supervision.

 

In addition to in-house training sessions our pupils have the opportunity to attend external training seminars.
